Ms Farnandes. Congratulation on your wonderful book ” the last jews of kerala “. It was bought for me by a friend knowing our great interest in India which we visit once or twicw a year, and I was so gripped by it that I bought a copy for our great friends in bangalore, as she comes from Cochin, and knew Queenie and lily ver well. I have since given copies to other friends, and not having any left, must buy one to keep for myself ( having given mine away to a couple we met in north kerala in febuary at a new resort ) !I now shall read your new book which I read about in the Telegraph or Sunday Telegraph. I am however devastated to have missed your lecture on the kerla book, as I have only just seen it on your website. Any chance you might be repeating it ?????

    Dear Mr Rose,

thank you for your kind email. I am very touched by your kind words and support for my work. Glad you enjoyed The Last Jews. With regard to my other book, Holy Warriors, I hope you like it. It is a mix of history, contemporary politics, travel and reportage. A good introduction to some of the key themes in India. Let me know what you think.

Getting emails like yours is an author’s dream!

    Edna
